A little background history:

Equan initially saw the light of day through a partnership between a German business counsel and AAACBC Inc. a specialized IT development and web consulting company in one of the most important IT hubs in Southeast Asia. AAACBC Inc. had the chance to convince Indigo Capital Holding Inc., an investment and advisory company from the United States of America, to take over the vacant place in the partnership and to replace the initial German partner in an early stage. This constellation has remained unchanged and fruitful ever since.

The idea was simple – equan was to become a meeting point for service providers and clients of al scopes. The initiator wanted to present a platform that would not only cater to IT professionals but to all Freelancers. So far there has been only freelancing platforms that would offer the possibility to present a resume and a profile page introducing the service provider offered to IT personal who often already have a web presentation, while other professions would have to rely on personal adds or look for specific organization both would usually be costly and limited in its presentation possibilities. Equan was about to change that spectrum. For the first time all liberal profession, Freelancers and corporate managers got the chance to present them and meet others on a designated space for free!

Equan is not only free of charge but it also does not take part in the actual contractual work between the two parties meeting. There are no provisions to be paid. Your hard worked money that you earned remains yours no involvement here.

The idea was born so equan was first introduced in German at the end of April 2009 and was an immediate success. The Market has obviously welcomed the platform the need was recognized by the developers and meet. The second step was obvious to follow, very soon after it’s launching the members started not only congratulating to the brilliant idea but demanding – things like skill extensions, more functionalities and also to establish equan also for other markets and not to limit it only to the German speaking world. So platforms in the US and UK followed but also in Asia, in countries like the Philippines where equan again proved to be a successful concept.

Equan has been growing ever since, welcomed by it’s users and pushed forward farther and farther by the enthusiasm of its developers but also by the demand of its members. This cooperation is what makes equan so special it truly profits from the synergy between developers and the users who take an active part in equans growth.
